How to choose the Best Nail Shape For your Hands...

We see nail Inso everywhere. Whether it’s your peers, Pinterest, instagram or a magazine. But what looks good on them, might not work as well for you. So how do we choose what works best for your hands?

SMALL HANDS & SHORT FINGERS

Oval - This is in between round and almond gives more of a egg shape. It is an elongating shape so it works well with small hands and short fingers.

SHORT FINGERS & WIDE NAIL BEDS

Round - Round nails have a circular edge on the tip. It softens and slims the nail bed.

LONG FINGERS & NARROW NAIL BEDS

Square - Straight sidewalls and a blunt nail edge. This gives an illusion of a wider nail bed, If you have the right fingers it looks very chic.

SHORT & WIDE FINGERS

Almond - Wide at the base slimming down to the sides and coming to rounded peak. This will lengthen and make any short fingers look slim.

LONG FINGERS & WIDE NAIL BEDS

Stiletto - Dramatic, long and filed to a tip. Looks best on long nails but cannot be maintained without a gel or acrylic to help keep the nail strong and less susceptible to breakage.

Coffin - Tapered on the sides making it more narrow than your square nails. Same as the stiletto you will need to maintain with a gel or acrylic to keep the nails strong and less susceptible to breakage.

ANY FINGER TYPE

Squoval - Square nail with rounded edges. Easist shape to maintain because for most of us, this is the natural shape our nail grows to.It is the most flattering because it is the most natural.
