Winter Nail Trends 2025

The leaves have fallen, and the snow is here! If you are looking for a fresh set of nails to help you fight those winter blues, look no further. Use this guide to see ‘what’s what’ this winter.

Colours

Red and green are not the only stars of December- but don’t be surprised if you see them among this season’s favourite nail colour trends.

Red: I said don’t be surprised! We were loving red in the fall and we are not slowing down this winter. Deep red and plum hues are keeping everyone’s fingertips toasty and trendy this December. Red is the perfect colour to keep simple- or- add a few details and they can turn into a festive delight!

Blue: If you’re ready to say goodbye to fall, you might want to say hello to blue. We are welcoming the love everyone is feeling for blue this season. One of the best things about this colour is its versatility. If you are feeling like dark and stormy is the way to go, you could choose a midnight or navy blue. If you prefer the lighter side of things, a soft or icy light blue might be for you. Either way your nails will not only look great, but keep you trending in blue this winter.

White: As the snowflakes fall and everything gets covered in a blanket of white, don’t let your nails feel left out. White can be classy or fun, and we are not missing out this winter. It can be a base colour for fun festive designs on top, or add a pop as a snowy design. Don’t worry though; if you want to avoid the snow and keep warm, white sweater nails are always popular in the winter. I’ve seen Chris Evans in that white cable-knit sweater! I can see why everyone loves the same cozy vibe on their nails this season.

Designs

French tips: Do French tips ever really leave? No—and I hope they stay forever! French tips are one of the most classic nail designs, and they are back in the spotlight this winter. The classic white tip is an easy and stylish option for your winter nails, but there are so many other options to jazz up the design this season. For an easy twist, choose any colour for your classic design. Or add a little embellishment for extra holiday cheer. You can’t go wrong with these, and it’s easy to get on board with this trend.

Gingerbread: If you are feeling almost ready for holiday cheer but still want to keep your nails trendy, you might want to consider a gingerbread design. We are seeing gingerbread cookies, houses, and men all over client nails this season. You could keep it classic with browns and reds with your design or switch up the colours for a fun new look. No matter what, gingerbread is not only in our stomachs this year, it’s on our nails.

Peppermint swirl: If the gingerbread nails intrigued your sweet tooth, you’ll love the swirl trend this winter. You’ve seen it in blue paired with the sweater nail, but don’t let that limit your creativity. The classic red swirl will keep your nails cute and fun—or you could really do any colour for this trendy design!

All of the nails in this post were done by the amazing nail artists at our salon, who are so excited to bring all of these spectacular nail trends to life for you.

We hope to see you soon!
